ATS is headquartered in Beverly, MA, with satellite offices in Boston, MA, and Manchester, NH.
The business is led by Andrew Trupiano, former SVP of Stop Loss Underwriting at Liberty Ironshore, and chaired by Christopher Branch who previously led the A&H division for Beazley, following the sale of Momentum Underwriting Management (MUM), an A&H MGA founded by Chris. Andrew began his insurance career at TRU Services. As his family had roots in the MGU model, he learned from the beginning to prioritize the policyholder’s needs and approach underwriting with an unparalleled level of service, flexibility, and expertise. Chris, prior to founding MUM, built the European operations for Cigna A&H before it was ultimately acquired by ACE (Chubb).
The company is owned by its management and Avoca Insurance Holdings (AIH). AIH is privately held and independent. The company invests in and builds Specialty Insurance underwriting companies in the US.
ATS is built on a foundation of experience and tenure in the Stop Loss class. The company is supported by robust infrastructure and by highly rated (AM Best A) capacity with deep sector experience.

BRANCH
CHAIRMAN
Chris has over 35 years experience in the insurance industry. He started his career as a broker in the London market working for Benfield, Jardine and Grieg Fester before joining CIGNA Corp in 1994 to establish an international A & H reinsurance division. Chris built the European operations for Cigna A&H before it was ultimately acquired by ACE (Chubb). In 2000, Chris set up Momentum Underwriting Management (MUM) with offices in London, Brisbane and Chicago.

Andrew began his career at TRU Services and later held a leadership position at a large direct carrier. Having worked in all areas of a stop loss MGU, he understands the complete wheel that drives the MGU model. As his family had roots in the stop loss industry, he learned from the beginning to prioritize the policyholder's needs and approach underwriting with an unparalleled level of service, flexibility and expertise.

DIRECTOR
Andrew joined the reinsurance business in 1989 working for Greig Fester, a leading London reinsurance broker, which was ultimately acquired into the current AON Benfield. He spent 15 years working for his father at RK Carvill & Co Ltd with a heavy focus on U.S. program business before founding Avondale's parent company, Avoca Insurance Holdings, in 2008. Aside from his Group responsibilities, Andrew works closely with the company's trading subsidiaries.

SVP UNDERWRITING
Danielle began her career in Stop Loss at TRU Services in 2004. Leaving TRU in 2016 she joined another MGU, NorthWind, as Director of Underwriting. In 2019 she made the decision to try direct carrier and moved to Liberty Mutual managing their direct stop loss block. In 2023 she joined Avoca Group and works closely with ATS President and Carrier partners to manage day-to-day underwriting tasks and responsibilities within the underwriting department.

NORMANDY
CFO
Bob joined the Avoca Group in 2009 as its Corporate Controller and has been its CFO since 2012. Prior to joining Avoca, Bob worked for eight years for Insurance Services Office (ISO) and its affiliated companies in a range of positions including Controller, CFO and VP Finance. His financial experience spans 25 years in the software and insurance industries.

DIRECTOR
Sal started his insurance career at a large direct carrier, and joined ATS at launch. He currently leads the policy implementation process. Sal and his team work with the various parties involved to efficiently execute a wide range of tasks in a timely manner.
BRETT
ARNOLD
VP SALES & DISTRIBUTION
Brett joined ATS with over ten years of experience in the employee benefits space. Previously, as an AVP and Benefits Consultant at Alliant Insurance Services, he designed high quality / low cost medical plans for clients all over the country. Most recently, Brett was the Senior Account Executive at an insurtech startup, focused on improving the underwriting process across the stop loss community.

KEMERLY
VP SALES & DISTRIBUTION
Joining ATS in 2023, Shane brings over 25 years of experience in the stop loss insurance industry. He spent the first 5 years in underwriting and has since provided executive leadership in sales and marketing to TPA’s, broker’s and health plans throughout the country. Shane is a proud veteran of the US Air Force and Operation Desert Storm.
